This necklace was designed as part of a winning collection that was showcased at Vogue Knitting Live in New York in January 2020. The collection highlighted the effects of climate change, the fragile black wire representing our overworked blackened earth. The tendrils are twining vines, rising up, a sign of renewed hope, with shining crystals emerging as buds of new life.
This delicate hand knitted necklace has 11 cascading tendril swirls, dotted with luxury crystals in earthy tones.
The piece is skilfully knitted with black coated copper wire, with crystals in jet, burgundy, smoky quartz, smoked topaz, olive, black diamond, vintage-khaki and clear. It is finished with sterling silver lobster clasp and extender chain endings. A jet black drop crystal & puffed sterling silver heart on the extension chain, adds a finishing touch.
