Shipping policy
Shipping
EU & Northern Ireland
Mahliqa is currently delivering to all countries, EXCEPT for the EU and Northern Ireland.
As of 13th December 2024, new General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR) came into play for products sold to the EU and NI.
For non-EU businesses, meeting the new GPSR requirements involves difficult and complicated challenges.
As a result, we have decided to cease all shipments to the EU & NI.
United States
As of 29th August 2025, the Trump administration decided to suspend the de-minimus exemption to goods coming into the US, which means ALL purchases, regardless of value, coming from the UK will be subject to tariff and custom duties for US buyers. Originally this tariff was set at 10%. However, as of the end of July 2026, Trump has increased this tariff to between 20 - 25%.
The cost of the product plus shipping fees is added together and then around 20% of that final figure is added to the total cost to ship your order.
The new system requires that the tariff is paid for at time of purchase in the UK.
So when you go to checkout, you will now see the itemised duties calculated and added to your total to pay. This means that no duty is payable by you once the goods arrive at their final destination.
We are very sorry for the additonal cost that this will mean for our US customers.
United Kingdom
Shipping within the UK will be via Royal Mail 48 hour tracked service.
The customer will be advised of the tracking number after the item has shipped.
All other Worldwide Destinations
Overseas shipping for orders under £25 will be standard international airmail, which has a delivery estimate of 5 - 14 working days depending on the destination. Orders over the value of £25 will be sent by international tracked delivery, with tracking number advised after the item has shipped.
Packaging
Every precaution is taken to ensure that the jewellery purchased arrives in perfect condition.
All the pieces come beautifully packaged in customised silver jewellery boxes. The piece itself will be cushioned with wadding, and the box wrapped again in paper tissue. The envelope will of course be padded.
