Fatima Bracelet
This bracelet is inspired by the Urdubegis, who were a class of trained, female warriors who served as guards for the Mughal emperor and the women of the harem. They were trained in use of all weapons and protected the harem at home and on their travels.
They were also known as the Zenana. Bibi Fatima was the chief armed woman of the zenana during 1530 - 1556, and is the only name that appears in the records from that time.
This bracelet is named after Fatima, and has a gemstone shield like design within its centre, with a jagged edge to resemble chainmail armour. The gold-plated wire is knitted to create a mesh-like base which is then encrusted with garnet, freshwater pearl and crystal.
It's finished with 18k gold-plated connectors and finished with a pear drop crystal.
