Inspired by regal jewellery from the Mughal era, this design is named after the Persian empress Nur-Jahan, who's name translates as 'Light of the World'.
Nur Jahan was the loving wife of the Emperor Jahangir and ruled alongside her husband. She was a fashion icon and popularised lavish jewellery.

This necklace is delicately hand knitted with enamelled copper and crystal in a graduated crescent design. This crescent style of necklace was a popular shape frequently worn by Mughal royalty, commonly made in gold, the outer-edges and body studded with colourful precious gems.

The piece is designed to sit high at the base of the neck, delicately curving around to the nape. The bottom line of the necklace sways and shimmers with darker circular crystal pendant drops, with the crystal palette slowly gets lighter towards the top of the necklace.

A beautiful necklace to wear for that special occasion and would make a perfect bridal piece.

The model is wearing the Vintage Rose colourway.

Materials: Sterling silver or Gold-filled clasp, extender chain and components, enamelled copper jewellery wire, Austrian crystal.

Necklace size: The piece is 4cm wide at the centre, tapering to 1.5cm at the ends. The length around is 28cm extending to 31cm with the extender chain.
