Designed to use 24 mini-skeins in colours of your choosing, this is a perfect project for yarn advents, monthly yarn clubs or minis that you have in your collection.
With 6 different garden-themed stitch patterns, soothing garter sections and crystal & garter intarsia, this Wrap will keep you enthralled to the end!
INTRODUCTION
A lovely soothing and rhythmic project, flowing from one section to the next with interesting nature inspired stitch patterns, garter palate cleansers and glamorous crystal motifs for that touch of elegance.
The pattern is a simple Wrap in a rectangular construction using fingering weight / 4-ply yarn.
It is knit straight, with integrated border and edge stitches.
Consisting of 24 sections, the first 11 are repeated in reverse for sections 14 to 24. The middle sections 12 and 13 feature an interesting crystal intarsia motif, adding sparkle to the centre of the Wrap.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
3.25mm (US 3) needles.
Collapsible eye needle to add crystals/beads.
7 x stitchmarkers.
GAUGE
26 sts x 44 rows = 10cm/4” measured over multiple patterns after blocking.
SIZE
Finished measurements after blocking:
64cm x 188cm / 25” x 74“
YARN
24 x 20g mini skeins - fingering weight / 4-ply yarn.
Using one 20g (80 m/87 yds) skein per section - (Or multiple scraps to make 20g).
Total 480g (1,920 m/2,088 yds)
CRYSTALS
4mm bicone Preciosa crystal beads x 668
This is very much your individual project to customise as you wish!
Use colours that blend as a gradient or use contrasting colours to really make the Wrap sing! Use one colour throughout and make the crystal motifs a feature.
You can even use multiple scraps for any one section, as the row count is always given for each part, making this pattern a real stash buster.
